Most Jewish wedding ceremonies last 20 to 40 minutes. The chuppah part often moves quickly, then guests head to a reception. Some couples choose add yichud straight after the ceremony, often 10 to 20 minutes, during which the couple step away from their guests to have a short period of private reflection together as husband and wife.
